Summer of fun

This is a time where God's provision is blowing us away especially with Judah's surgery around the corner: with meals and finances, and help from friends as well as strangers we have received. It seems as though people are coming from everywhere and telling us they are praying for us.  The Lord is definitely hearing your prayers.

Ian is finally starting to show love to Judah.  This was my prayer for them every night for weeks.  He hugs him, gives him toys and likes to play next to him.

Ian is so intelligent.  He says some very funny things.  Today while I was taking sand out of his tractor he said to me "stop you're making it worse" that was hilarious. He is our little dictator, he told me one day, "mommy you need to go to timeout" I left the patio screen open, and that is what I make him do if he forgets.  He loves to say, "if I want more I got to eat this first" practically at every meal.  He can read his first book as well, "A Bad Bad Day" with the correct expression and all.

Will and I have some really great marriage mentors: they are teaching us so many things.  Will is starting a youth ministry internship at Calvary and I know he will do a great job.  I pray that God uses this year to shape him and ready him for a youth pastor job.

I am just starting a new job.  I am going to be an ESL teacher for a program called :Schools of Hope that is funded by Americorps.  I am teaching ESL parents of elementary children Tuesday and Thursday, serving as the parent coordinator at Brookside Elementary and tutoring children on Friday for 3 hours.  It will be a great growing experience for me.  I am super excited.  I thought I would have a hard time finding a job so close to Judah's surgery but instead 3 jobs found me.  God is so faithful! At the end of my term in June, I will get 2,795 towards my student loans.

  1. Heather that is great news about your job. I hope all goes well with Judah's surgery. I was holding him in nursery on Sunday and was wondering what was the latest news on him. Let me know if you ever need anything. I'll be happy to help out.
